Our Story

Started by Peter Black more than 15-years ago, the SELECT group has grown into a network of industry award winning strata managers with more than 50-years of experience managing Owners Corporations right across Melbourne.

Peter and his team were used to seeing property owners struggle with the legal, financial, reporting and insurance challenges associated with Owners Corporation management. SELECT was born from a desire to help and support clients manage these challenges and complexities whilst at the same time providing a premium standard of service on which their clients could rely.

SELECT has now grown into a preferred and trusted service provider and our clients agree.

Collectively, we manage more than 1,000 Owners Corporations right across Melbourne, comprising of more than 13,000 individual properties.

Peter Black

SELECT Owner & Director

With more than 21-years of experience in Owners Corporation management, Peter Black believes the essence of outstanding customer relationships is sound and effective communication. Peter places a strong priority on responding promptly to issues as a measure of respect for clients and is a model of operational excellence to our Executive team and entire staff.

As a 20-year member of Strata Community Australia (SCA) Peter is actively involved in advocating for the industry, particularly for increased protections for lot owners. Peter continues to improve the professionalism and standing of the industry within our sector, and is highly regarded as a recipient of the Best Owners Corporation Manager Award by SCA Victoria.

A loyal Collingwood supporter, in his spare time Peter enjoys time spent with family and friends and tinkering with cars and computers.

Floyd Nangreave

Group General Manager

Floyd is SELECT's Group General Manager and the head of our corporate services office, SELECT Assist. Beginning his career as a journalist with the Daily Sun and then Business Development Manager for the City of Brisbane, at just 24-years of age Floyd was appointed as General Manager to one of Australia’s most well-known franchise groups.

Together with Peter Black, Owner and Director of SELECT, Floyd is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and operational functions of the business, all of which are underpinned by solid governance, planning and reporting capabilities.

Floyd has previous CEO experience and in his former role as Group General Manager for one of Australia’s largest religious orders, he was responsible for in-house strategy, risk, compliance and facilities management functions for the organisation across Australia and Papua New Guinea. Floyd is an accomplished public speaker and conference host.

When Floyd is not supporting his beloved Carlton, he is enjoying family time with his 3 beautiful boys.
